Text Messaging
Last updated August 14, 2026
This page describes the operational text-messaging program DialHaven is preparing: who may receive messages, what they may contain, how consent is obtained, and how to stop them. Tenant-owner alerts and caller confirmations are not active today.
1. We run one messaging program, and we do not market by text
DialHaven does not currently send operational texts to tenant owners or callers. When the program is activated, it will be limited to call-related operational messages. We do not send promotional or marketing texts, text people who have not opted in, or buy, rent, or upload contact lists.
2. Business operational alerts
Status: in build — no tenant owner is enrolled in this SMS program today.
Who receives them: the owner or designated manager of a business that subscribes to DialHaven, at a mobile number they give us themselves. Nobody else.
What the planned program may send
- A new booking taken on their line
- A caller who asked for a person, or who left a message needing follow-up
- A call the assistant could not handle, including anything flagged as an emergency
- Service notifications about their own line — for example, that answering is degraded
That is the whole list. No offers, no promotions, no newsletters.
How consent is obtained
Consent is collected in writing during onboarding, in the signed DialHaven service agreement. There is no public web form and no purchased list — a person cannot be enrolled without signing the agreement. Section 7 of that agreement reads, in part:
I agree that DialHaven may send me operational text messages about my calls at this mobile number: ____________
Ticking it is your choice and the receptionist works either way. Reply STOP to any message to end them, or HELP for contact details. Standard message and data rates apply, and message frequency varies with your call volume.
The checkbox is optional and unticked by default, the subscriber writes their own mobile number next to it, and the service works whether or not they agree. We record the consent, the date it was given, and the number it was given for, against that subscriber's record.
Example messages for the planned program
How often
Message frequency varies with call volume. A quiet line may produce none in a week; a busy one may produce several in a day.
3. Appointment confirmations to callers
This is not currently active. It is described here so that the record is complete and accurate.
When enabled, a confirmation text is sent to a caller who has just phoned a business we answer for, confirming an appointment they asked to book, with the time and the business's cancellation policy. The caller starts the conversation, gives their own mobile number in order to be booked, and is told during the call that a confirmation will be sent.
These messages are sent on behalf of the individual business the caller contacted, and each business is registered separately as the sender of its own messages. DialHaven does not send these under its own name.
4. Stopping messages
Reply STOP to any message to stop all further messages to that number. We will send one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and then nothing further.
Reply HELP to any message for contact details, or email hello@dialhaven.net. You can also ask us to stop by email at any time, and subscribers can withdraw consent without affecting the rest of the service.
5. Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply. DialHaven does not charge for text messages; your mobile carrier's normal rates are between you and them.
6. We do not share your number
Mobile numbers collected for text messaging, and consent to receive text messages, are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Numbers are handled only by the infrastructure providers that operate the service on our behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Contact
